Home Where I Belong

The other day while listening to the Bill and Gloria Gaither Homecoming videos I bought, they were singing, Going Home where I belong and I was getting so homesick. It reminded me soooo much of Angie (my cousin) and how she felt. She had told her Mom a few months or weeks back, “this old world has gotten so bad I’m just ready to go on and be with Jesus.” That’s just how I feel at times to. Times when I am just so tired and worn out and tired of hearing bad stuff on the news that’s happening, or negative things about families not getting along. Or just negative in general. It just wears me down these days. I have to get my focus and look to Jesus or I would just be depressed. He tells me to rejoice and to look for good things, things that are good and lovely etc. He tells me to rejoice in THIS DAY because it IS the day the Lord hath made! IF I keep my focus on this old world or things in it, I would surely become depressed for sure.

I want to be around to see my only daughter married and happy. I also want to see my grandkids that I am already praying for to grow up to be Godly adults and adults with character and that are not a menace to society, and adults that are Christians and that act like they are. I know that God has still got me here for some reason. So like this song says, I’ll serve Him gladly and sing His songs, but not for long because I’m going home, where I belong!!!

I wanted to share the words of this song with you. It’s just sooo good!

Home Where I Belong

They say that heavens pretty, and living here is to.

But if they said, I’d have to choose between the two, I’d go home, going home where I belong.

Sometimes when I’m dreaming, it comes as no surprise that if you look and see that homesick feeling in my eyes,

I’m headed home, I’m going home where I belong.

While I’m here I’ll serve Him gladly and sing Him all these songs. I’m here, but not for long.

When I’m feeling lonely, when I’m feeling blue,

It’s just a joy to know I am only passing through.

I’m headed home, I’m going home, where I’ll finally belong.

But while I’m here I’ll serve Him gladly and sing Him all these songs. I’m here, but not for long!

And one day I’ll be sleeping when death knocks on my door,

and I’ll awake to find, I’m not homesick anymore (wooooo whooooo)

I’ll be HOME, finally be home, where I BELONG.

Man if that don’t get you excited, what will? :) Heaven’s going to be so pretty and so peaceful. No pain or tears will be there, and no disappointments.

Reminds me of yet another song…..

That Sounds Like Home To Me

Somewhere just across the Jordan river, There’s a place of everlasting joy and peace.

Where the tree of life is blooming there forever, And a crown of life is waiting there for me.

Cho: That sounds like home to me, right where I long to be. There'll be no tears to fill our eyes again. The hills will echo with the story, as we sing of His grace and glory. Where the saints of God will be, that sounds like home to me.

The Saviors mansions there inside that city. A crystal river flowing by the stream of life. No pain or disappointments there to hurt us, and Jesus Christ himself will be the light.

Cho: That sounds like home to me, right where I long to be. There'll be no tears to fill our eyes again. The hills will echo with the story, as we sing of His grace and glory, where the saints of God will be, that sounds like home to me.

Edited to add one more……..

Midnight Cry

I hear the sound
of a mighty rushing wind.
And it’s closer now
than it’s ever been.
I can almost hear the  trumpet

as Gabriel sounds the chord.
At the midnight cry
we’ll be going home.

When Jesus steps out
on a cloud to call his children,
the dead in Christ shall rise
to meet Him in the air.
And then those that remain
shall be quickly changed.
At the midnight cry
we’ll be going home.

I look around me,
I see prophecies fulfilling.
The signs of the times
they’re appearing everywhere.
I can almost see the Father
as he says," Son go get my children"
at the midnight cry,
the  bride of Christ will rise.

And then those that remain,
will be quickly changed.
At the midnight cry, we'll be going home.
At the midnight cry, we'll be going home.

What a place that’s going to be!!! Are you ready? Have you asked Him to forgive your sins and save your soul? This place is going to be awesome!!!

Thank you Punky!!! These days I stay away from the CS because I'm looking for positives. Just too weighted down with the negatives!
