It's Getting Closer

Click on pix to enlarge.

Thank you sistah! :) And I'll just have to post you some pix of those gingerbread men when I get the spray on them. I want to use some of the little narrow 1/4" wide red satin ribbon to hang them with.

Well I got all the Old Country Rose dishes out of the china cabinet and put in the green and beige ones.
I put my bed tray on the china cabinet trying to decide how I want to use it. I LOVE this bed tray but have never been able to figure out how to use it that it's NOT in the way. Then when I do use it I don't like how it looks. UGHHHH anyway I put it in here to try and figure out someway to use the thing. I am also NOT finished with the top of the china cabinet. Playing around with it right now but want to do something Christmasy up there or on the shelf area one.
I put my Old Country Rose tea cups and saucers and the teapot in the little tall cabinet I have in there. The one that has the little glass windows in it that's in the corner in one of the pix. They look really neat in there to. I had to have somewhere to put them to keep them from getting broken.
I don't know if the red I am decorating for Christmas with is going to look right with these green dishes or not. ????? SO I may have to tone down the red if I decorate that cabinet.
Oh I also stuck me a small centerpiece on the table. lol Don't know if that's staying or not.
Got one more thing to go through in the living room and then I can start putting the things up in the attic.
You know as I was looking at these pix I was thinking maybe I need to move that last shelf of green dishes on the china cabinet on down to the other shelf. I think that might look better. That way it wont be sooooooo much green all together.

Christmas

Click on pics to enlarge.
I have started today pulling off all the whatnot's off the shelves and tables to Christmas decorate. I rearranged the dining room and man it looks sooooooooooo much better like this! Although I DO HATE to put something in front of my windows I did put the sideboard because it's under the windows and doesn't block the view. BUT I still hate putting anything in front of them because it makes it harder to get to the curtains to pull them back everyday. Anyway it looks much nicer like this though because the table and the china cabinet is long ways like the sideboard and it makes the room look larger. ANYTHING to make it look larger! LOL

Here are some pix of my rearranged dining room. Ignore my drying gingerbread men on the table and my unpainted curtain rod. ONE OF THESE DAYS I AM going to paint the thing! I have a few spots that need touching up in there as well! I really don't have anything arranged on the table center or on the top of the sideboard or the curio cabinet because I plan on decorating it for Christmas. So I'll have to move some of what is there now. I think I am going to decorate the china cabinet and the sideboard for Christmas and just use a small centerpiece for the table. I am still in the thinking mode trying to figure out WHAT to do. I am just now putting away all the fall and Thanksgiving decorations! lol I did manage to get the Christmas table cloth and place mats on the table today. :)
I have also decided in this moving around today that I am going to take all that off the top of my china cabinet and put something else up there. It's too much I think. I am doing my dead level best to get rid of some clutter!!!!!
I am STILL working on some boxes I had in the attic as well. Trying to go through those and see what I want to keep and what needs to be gone from here.
Now the living room is next and then I'll have to stick all the items I took off the shelves into the attic while my Christmas decorating things are out. It's wayyyyyy too cluttered in this small house to use my normal decorating things as well as my Christmas decorating things at the same time. So one goes in the attic while the other stays out.
I'm thinking about putting the off white and green dishes in my china cabinet for Christmas and putting the Old Country Rose ones up for awhile. Since my color will be red this Christmas I thought the green and off white ones would look nice in there with the red. You know me though, I'll probably have to toss in some gold as well since I LOVE gold for Christmas decorating.

Cleaning Out

Brenda over at http://countryromance.blogspot.com/ had such a nice looking pantry she motivated me to clean out my cabinets. LOL That's been a chore this evening and I'm STILL not finished with them! Hers was soooooo organized I thought, OH MY GOSH if she could just SEE MINE! Later after I got off here I went in the kitchen to clean out the dishwasher and put the dishes up. I opened the cabinet door and something fell out on me and I said, OK THAT'S IT! Time to clean and organize and get rid of some stuff! The back of my Murano is full. lol You should SEE all the glass candle holders I have! No need in anyone having THIS MANY! I had stuff in the cabinets I have never even used and stuff I rarely use, so out it went. I feel SO MUCH better already AND I have some space!!!! Only thing my DH has retired and he helps me out in the kitchen a bunch now which I am VERY THANKFUL for, but he just tosses stuff in the cabinets and after I've got them cleaned and organized I'm afraid I'll have to keep fixing it back when he helps me. ;) I am a perfectionist anyway and am really trying hard to work on that and just BE STILL sometimes. He has taught me the hard way to BE STILL and KNOW that He is God! :) Because I am a do-er big time. But since I ruptured the disk in my back several years ago I have to chill out on my doing or it starts getting inflamed on me. So He keeps me reminded on the chill out part when the old leg starts feeling like a 2x4 I like to say. When I over do the left leg gets really stiff and the toes on that same foot starts being a little numb. That's telling me, BE STILL ROSE! :) Chill out!

Ok I went back and found the exact same post Brenda made on her blog so I could share it with you. Is she organized or what? I would dearly LOVE to have a space like she has with all the plastic containers in it! WOW.........Good looking cabinets! Way to go Brenda!! Looks awesome! Hopefully I can finish mine tomorrow or at least work a little more on them anyway. See Brendas nicely done cabinets below.

NOW what's lurking behind YOUR cabinets? Do have bunches of stuff you could donate to your favorite thrift store? :)
